… Farragut West Spanish Conversation aims to organize a group of diverse professionals and university students who meet up at lunch time in restaurants/cafes around the area of the Farragut West Metro Station, and converse casually with each other in a small group solely in Spanish. Members must possess a Spanish proficiency at the intermediate and advanced levels. Native Spanish speakers are also welcome to join.

We host events relevant to Spain and Spanish culture. From Spanish embassy events, to dinners, to dance and cooking classes, we want to celebrate as they do in Barcelona and Madrid.

In Spanish (as you know), Mami means "mommy" and Amistad is "friendship". Mamistad was started in Arlington, VA (where we now have over 600 members) and may be seen here: http://pregnancy.... .
